InterSafe needs engineers to join the safety consultancy team in Brisbane
InterSafe is Australia's first safety consultancy focussed solely on creating workplaces free from fatality or permanent disability. We provide our clients with safer workplace solutions based on our in-depth understanding of permanent damage to people. We gain this knowledge by investigating hundreds of incidents each year, analysing all manner of incident datasets, research, and developing models that promote the application of the scientific method to safety. We have investigated in excess of 10,000 incidents over the past 20 years. Our major clients work in the mining, construction and manufacturing industries. We also consult to government and industry bodies.
Our work is diverse, interesting and challenging. It takes the engineering career away from traditional engineering applications on a path of continuous learning as we understand and apply engineering skills and knowledge to the complex and rewarding world of safety and health.
We are seeking expressions of interest from university trained engineers with between 2 and 10 years experience in any industry. You must have a commitment to personal continuous improvement, be self motivating, able to multi-task and able to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds. Based in Brisbane and travelling interstate your ultimate role is to provide solutions for employers to eliminate permanent personal damage from their workplaces. You will begin this journey by building on your own knowledge and expertise by:
- Investigating incidents for our litigation clients (while being mentored by experienced consultants)
- Analysing incident datasets
- Bedding down InterSafe models and philosophies; by
- Attending training sessions with experienced consultants
- Off siding experienced consultants delivering workplace solutions
- Being coached / mentored by experienced consultants
- Personal research / reading
It is envisaged that within 2 - 4 years you will be able to independently provide employers with workplace solutions through consulting and training activities. Your income is dependent on experience and has the opportunity to grow significantly as you build expertise and deliver solutions to our clients.
