What is Ergonomics?
Ergonomics involves preventing undesirable interactions of people, equipment and the environment. The application of the science of ergonomics can increase efficiency and productivity, as well as levels of health and safety.

- (used with a sing. verb) The applied science of equipment design, as for the workplace, intended to maximize productivity by reducing operator fatigue and discomfort. Also called biotechnology, human engineering, human factors engineering.
